The Brakes

Along with the chassis, even the brakes have been subject to ‘added lightness’.

The shoe on the left is the conventional 12/50 item and that on the right is as fitted to HP6161. The latter weighs in at a bantamweight 634g, whereas his heavyweight brother is a brutal 1332g - more than double the weight and the net effect of using these alloy alternatives is a massive weight savinb of nearly 5.6kg, or over 12lbs!
